Visitor (subclass 600)

This visa can be approved for 3, 6 or up to twelve months.

It is important to show that you have sufficient funds to support yourself while in Australia as well as demonstrate you have genuine intentions to stay temporarily in Australia. Also, you must have health cover as well as not have any debt with the Australian Government You may be required to meet health and character requirements.

Although most applications are lodged form offshore, some candidates can lodge a tourist visa application form onshore if they do not have condition 8503 imposed on their current Australian visa.

Working Holiday visa (subclass 417)

You would need to be 18 to 30 years old (Canadian, French and Irish citizens can apply up till the age of 35) and have a passport from one of the following countries:

  • Belgium
  • Canada
  • Republic of Cyprus
  • Denmark
  • Estonia
  • Finland
  • France
  • Germany
  • Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China (including British National Overseas passport holders)
  • Republic of Ireland
  • Italy
  • Japan
  • Republic of Korea
  • Malta
  • Netherlands
  • Norway
  • Sweden
  • Taiwan (other than an official or diplomatic passport)
  • The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

You also need to declare that you have sufficient money to support yourself as well as meet health and character requirements.

Once approved, you will only be permitted to study for 4 months and work for the same employer for 6 months.

Second Woking Holiday visa (subclass 417) (travel)
You can apply for a second working holiday visa if you have worked for a period of at least three months in a specified area of work as defined by the DHA. This three month period of employment must have been completed during your 417 visa, You must also continue to meet the other 417 criteria as per your initial 417 visa application.

Third Woking Holiday visa (subclass 417) (travel)
You can apply for a third working holiday visa if you have worked for a period of at least six months in a specified area of work as defined by the DHA. This six month period of employment must have been completed during your 417 visa or during the bridging g visa period between the expiry of your first 417 and the approval of your second 417 visa. You must also continue to meet the other 417 criteria as per your initial 417 visa application.

Work and Holiday visa (subclass 462)

You would need to be 18 to 30 years old, meet certain tertiary education requirements, have at least functional English, and meet financial, health and character criteria.Some nationals from certain countries will also have to obtain a letter of support from their Government to apply for this visa.

Second Work and Holiday visa (subclass 462) 
You can apply for a second work and holiday visa if you have worked for a period of at least three months in a specified area of work as defined by the DHA. This three month period of employment must have been completed during your 462 visa, You must also continue to meet the other 4462 criteria as per your initial application.

Third Work and Holiday visa (subclass 462)
You can apply for a third work and holiday visa if you have worked for a period of at least six months in a specified area of work as defined by the DHA. This six month period of employment must have been completed during your 462 visa or during the bridging g visa period between the expiry of your first 462 and the approval of your second 462 visa. You must also continue to meet the other 417 criteria as per your initial 462 visa application

Sponsored Parent (Temporary) visa (subclass 870)

Firstly, the Australian child must apply for sponsorship approval so that they can sponsor their parent to come to Australia.

Sponsors are required to meet the following additional criteria:

  • Be a usual resident of Australia for at least 4 years and not held a Bridging visa other than an A, B, or C as well as not been unlawful in Australia in the last four years
  • Have no debts with the Australian Government
  • Have earned at least at least $83,454.80 taxable income in the most recent financial year
  • Meet character requirements
  • Have met all previous sponsorship requirements if you were a sponsor before
  • Once sponsorship is approved, the parent can apply for either one of the following two options:
    • Up to three years stay: the cost is $5,000
    • Up to five years stay: the cost is $10,000

The applicant needs to meet the following criteria:

  • Biological or legal parent of sponsor
  • Have complied with past visa conditions
  • Meet health and character requirements
  • Have access to sufficient funds in Australia
  • Have the intention to stay in Australia temporarily
  • Must hold health insurance and have no debts with the Commonwealth of Australia
